We are a friendly club with around 80 members located behind the Watsonian Pavilion at 79 Myreside Road. The club was founded in 1935 and is one of the oldest squash clubs in Scotland. In the mid 70’s two new glass back courts were built and in 2023, the two original courts, the Bogle and the Allan courts, were refurbished as part of a large project to update the club.

The club has membership categories of Full, Country, Junior and non-playing. For the 2026/2027 season (August to July).

Full membership costs £180 plus a £100 joining fee (exempt if you have a connection to George Watson's College – please contact the club Secretary for details). Junior membership is £20.

Details on Membership 

• Court Booking - Courts can be booked online up to 3 weeks in advance via SportyHQ
• Mini Leagues - Monthly mini leagues are organised for all standards. 
• Tournaments - The club organises several tournaments throughout the season including a handicapped event an Over 35 tournament in the winter and the annual club, under 35, and over 50 championships
• Social Squash - in addition to mini leagues, courts are booked on Saturday morning for social squash and the club also runs a Club night on the first Friday of the month
• Coaching - The club does not have a permanent coach however several qualified coaches are available to book. Additionally several taster sessions are provided each year by these coaches.
• Team Squash - The club runs five men’s team and one ladies teams in the East of Scotland leagues 
• Junior Squash - The club now has an active junior section with over 25 members. Coaching is provided during the season on Saturdays. The club runs 4 teams in the East junior leagues
• Members Guests -Members are permitted to introduce one guest per week and a guest fee of £3 is payable
• Membership Renewal - The membership year commences in August.

Pleasenote that, although membership is not currently at capacity, new members are admitted at quarterly intervals throughout the year. As a result, there may be a short delay before your membership can begin.
